Falanghina 2018 Masseria Capoforte: a new vintage under the banner of excellent quality.
Delicate and special: two adjectives that identify well the new vintage of Falanghina Capoforte, which Ettore Ceschin, owner of the Masseria Capoforte winery is about to present to the public with great pride. Excellent quality that is renewed in the bottle thanks to an ideal climatic trend that has facilitated the collection of perfect grapes and to the following five months of ageing in steel tanks.
A Salento wine with a strong personality, which pays homage to the tradition of viticulture of the ancient Greeks. Praised by Pliny the Elder and celebrated by illustrious poets, the Falanghina was also considered the wine of the emperors. Its name dates back to the use of "falanga", an ancient synonym of the poles used to support the vines.
A white wine with an ancient history, an intense yellow colour and an aromatic profile characterised by floral notes and intense aromas of ripe fruit such as pineapple, apricot and citrus fruits. But it is on the palate that it unfolds all its personality: the perfect balance between flavour and softness opens the way to a pleasant persistence, revealing its best qualities in combination with fish dishes and fresh cheeses.
